Micaela will be talking about how Madeira went from a renowned tourist destination to global hot spot for digital nomads – and why this tiny archipelago, that's been called Europe's answer to Hawaii, might be the next big thing in remote working. ​

Micaela Vieira has a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and a master’s degree in Management. Since October 2017, has been working closely with Startup Madeira, as a project coordinator of Madeira Startup Retreat – an acceleration program for international travel and tourism startups, which during the last five editions has welcomed over 50 international startups and 155 entrepreneurs from 37 nationalities to the Madeira Islands.

Since September 2018, Micaela is Project Manager at Startup Madeira. Besides the Digital Nomads Madeira Islands, she has also worked on projects like the Madeira Startup Retreat and StartNOW.
