The Wood Hotel is one of the world’s tallest timber buildings, crafted from wood sourced from local forests and designed with both people and planet in mind. Together with Sara Kulturhus, it forms a modern, world-class venue for meetings, culture and experiences — from intimate gatherings to international conferences, performances and exhibitions.
Early June in the north has its own rhythm. Skellefteå sits just below the Arctic Circle, so you won’t see a full midnight sun — but you’ll notice something else.
It never really gets dark.
The sun dips below the horizon, but only briefly, and the light lingers. A soft glow stays with you through the night, making it feel like the day never quite ends.
